Southwest Alberta Retired Teachers’ Association (SWARTA) represents approximately 225 retired teachers from six local school divisions: Holy Spirit, Horizon, Lethbridge, Livingstone Range, Palliser and Westwind. We extend to Nanton, Milo and the Bow River in the north, the Alberta-USA border and Waterton Park in the south, Bow Island to the east and the Crowsnest Pass in the west. Palliser also some schools in Calgary. Our retired teachers have experience in small rural schools, large city schools, Hutterite colonies and alternative programs including outreach schools.
