President’s Message
So….. we have experienced our Summer 2022 as retirees and I welcome you back to what is, hopefully, a little more “normal” existence – whatever that is.
My husband and I just returned from a group bus tour to Haida Gwaii for 11 days and then a short trip for a family birthday to Calgary. We have been very cautious during the pandemic and it was nice to take a road trip and meet some new people. However, I must admit, I can hardly wait to start seeing our regular friends and colleagues again. Hopefully, this finds you all well and doing what you enjoy with who you love.
PARTA to Being Meetings Again in October,2022
PARTA executive has made an agreement and paid the required fees to begin our in-person meetings again on October 11, 2022 Meetings will change to the second Tuesday of the months. We will meet at the Spruce Grove Golden Age Club, 301 Jespersen Ave – just west of the City Hall. The rental fee will be $120 per meeting. Executive set-up will be at 9:00am and the meeting will be scheduled from 10:00 – 12:00. The following dates are reserved for our meetings throughout the year:
October 11, 2022 January 10, 2023 April 11, 2023
November 8, 2022 February 14, 2023 May 9, 2023
December 13, 2022 March 14, 2023 June 13, 2023
The terms and conditions of our agreement will be discussed in the agenda of our meeting on October 11. We look forward to seeing you all back. For this first gathering, coffee and goodies will be provided. It is to be noted that if any Covid restrictions return, we will go back to the previous decision not to have in-person meetings.
