WCRTA Breakfast

WOLF CREEK RETIRED TEACHERS’ ASSOCIATION WELCOME TO RETIREMENT / TO HELL WITH THE BELL BREAKFAST

 Doors open at 8:45 and breakfast at 9:30

(covid precautions will be in place – please see below)
(with the date change and the covid precautions in place after member’s feedback this invitation will be extended for everyone to consider or reconsider, but we respect everyone’s choice)

COST: $15/person payable at the door to cover catered breakfast, facility rental, and related costs
(Breakfast is complimentary for new retirees from 2021 and also retirees from 2020 as we were unable to welcome you due to covid.)

RSVP: Please RSVP by Saturday, September 4th to Frank at fwctschabold@shaw.ca or 403-783-6436 as we need numbers for the caterer. Spouses/partners are always welcome at our events.

AGENDA:

• arrival and registration beginning at 8:45
• catered breakfast at 9:30 and visiting
• memorial time following breakfast presented by Dorothy Ungstad for the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 years
• greetings and presentation by ARTA President Lorna McIlroy
• welcome to new retirees from 2020 and 2021
• WCRTA annual meeting (the meeting will be short as the only new business is elections and we have a full slate to present)

MEMBERSHIPS:  WCRTA memberships for the 21/22 year can be paid at the door for those that need to.  ($5 for the year or $20 for five years)
(Reminder to new retirees in 2021 that your first year’s membership is complimentary and to 2020 retirees that your complimentary membership was extended through this next year.)

COVID PRECAUTIONS:  We are cautiously trying to resume our WCRTA events after a year and a half.  In order to resume activities and protect everyone we are asking for everyone attending to follow the precautions below:

• please do not attend if you are sick
• sanitize upon entering the facility and again when getting your meal
• please do your best to distance in the entryway and through registration
• we would encourage you to find alternate ways to greet others than handshakes
• Masking will be required as you enter and until you are seated at a table and again when getting your meal.
• Please bring your own mask.  
• Caterers will be masked and will serve up the breakfast.
• During registration you will be asked to supply a phone number if we do not already have one for you.
• If you will not be fully vaccinated at least two weeks prior to the event we would ask that you self-isolate for two weeks prior to the breakfast if you plan to attend.

Please help spread the word and encourage others to attend or try to bring someone new or someone that hasn’t attended in a while.  It will be an excellent opportunity to visit with former colleagues, congratulate our new retirees, and recognize the colleagues that we have lost.  We are very fortunate to have Lorna McIlroy, our ARTA President, joining us so it would nice to have a good turnout to welcome her.
