Reminder to save Friday, December 8 on your calendars. This is the date for our WCRTA Christmas Luncheon. Watch for details and RSVP information in mid-November. We will again be fundraising for the Alberta Retired Teachers Charitable Foundation at the event. Reminder that spouses/partners or anyone else that accompanies you is always welcome at our events.
Highlights from our Aug. 30 Breakfast and AGM:
We welcomed four of the new retirees in the area to the branch.
Deb Gerow, ARTA President, joined us and shared some encouraging words.
Dorothy Ungstad recognized eight colleagues and spouses that we had lost in the previous year.
Your branch executive was re-elected for the 2023-2024 year.

Your help is needed:
1. If you or someone you know has turned 85 and has not been recognized with a WCRTA life membership, please let us know so that we can do that at one of our upcoming events.
2. We are looking for someone that is both a WCRTA and ARTA member that is an active volunteer in their community. If you know someone who would fit that criteria let us know. ARTA sponsors volunteer awards and we would like to again recognize someone from our branch.
3. Anyone that is still using a Wolf Creek work email address to receive our communications and now has a personal email let us know so that we can direct our communications properly.
At the ARTA November Board of Directors Meeting there will be elections for directors of the Alberta Retired Teaches Charitable Foundation. If this is something that may interest you, please see the attachment above. Note that nomination packages must be received by November 9 to the attention of Daniel Mulloy at dmulloy@arta,net .
