Celebrate the holiday season. Come out and enjoy a turkey dinner, music, and great fellowship.
\nSpread the word, carpool, and offer a ride.<\/p>\n

WHEN: Friday, December 8, 2023<\/strong><\nDoors open at 11:00 am and turkey dinner at 12:30 pm\n\nWHERE: Ponoka Drop In Centre <\/strong> 5015 – 46 Ave., Ponoka<\/p>\n

COST: $20 per person<\/strong> for catered turkey dinner by Bob Ronnie payable at the door.
\nCost is being subsidized from our ARTA grant.<\/p>\n

RSVP: Please RSVP by December 3rd if you are attending or not<\/strong>

\nSpouses\/partners or an accompanying friend or family member are always welcome at our events.<\/p>\n

AGENDA: <\/strong>
\n– arrival and registration beginning at 11:00 am
\n– hear from Laurie Bauer about the rebranding of TW Insurance to Orbit Insurance followed by any WCRTA business
\n– turkey dinner and visiting
\n– musical entertainment
\n– door prize draws<\/p>\n

MEMBERSHIPS:<\/strong>
\nWCRTA memberships can be paid at the door for those that need to renew or extend.
\n($5 for one year or $20 for five years.) First year’s membership for new retirees is complimentary.<\/p>\n

ARTCF FUNDRAISER:<\/strong>
\nJust as we have done in the past, we will be raising funds for the Alberta Retired Teachers Charitable Foundation
\n(ARTCF) at the luncheon. The ARTCF supports projects in Alberta from groups such as Parkinson Alberta, the
\nAlzheimer’s Society, the CNIB, and others. Unlike many charities, less than 5% of funds go to overhead costs.<\/p>\n

If you wish to contribute, you can either give a cash donation and our branch will issue a cheque for the amount
\ncollected or if you would like a tax receipt, please bring a cheque payable to Alberta Retired Teachers Charitable<\/strong>
\nFoundation (ARTCF) <\/strong>so that the foundation will be able to issue you a tax receipt later.<\/p>\n

Please help spread the word about the luncheon and encourage others to attend.<\/strong> Try to bring someone new or
\nsomeone that hasn’t attended in a while, or offer a ride, especially to those colleagues who no longer drive. Hope
