Not only do we provide crucial information to our members, we also host social events and organize a variety activities for our members!<\/p>\n<p>Membership Dues: $10.00 per year. These fees are due at the September meeting.<\/p>\n<p>All memberships extend from the first meeting each September to the following September regardless of when membership dues are paid.<\/p>\n<p>Dues may be paid:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At the September PARTA meeting or the first meeting a member attends for the year<\/li>\n<li>At the first meeting a person attends as a member<\/li>\n<li>Members are welcome to renew for multiple years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Who can become a member of PARTA?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Any person who meets any of the following requirements will be granted membership and full voting privilege:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In receipt of a pension from the Alberta Teachers\u2019 Retirement Fund<\/li>\n<li>A retired or previously employed teacher from Alberta<\/li>\n<li>The spouse\/partner of a member<\/li>\n<li>The surviving spouse of a retired teacher<\/li>\n<li>A retired teacher from another province, institution or district<\/li>\n<li>A previous employee of the Parkland School Division<\/li>\n<li>An Honorary Member of the Alberta Teachers&#8217; Association<\/li>\n<li>Accepted by the ARTA as a regular or affiliate member<\/li>\n<li>Approved by the PARTA Executive<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Branch Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Benefits of Becoming a Member of PARTA:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provides an opportunity for like-minded retired professionals to get together<\/li>\n<li>Provides an avenue for members to remain informed about ARTA and the services offered (check out the links to ARTA for further information)<\/li>\n<li>Keeps members informed of current issues related to the welfare of retired teachers and seniors<\/li>\n<li>Provides opportunities for members to remain connected with friends and colleagues<\/li>\n<li>Provides opportunities for support and encouragement of members<\/li>\n<li>Access to the PARTA corporate membership at Jubilations Dinner Theatre<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a class=\"button button-primary-1\" href=\"https:\/\/artabranches.net\/parta\/parta-membership\/\">Join PARTA<\/a><br \/>\n          <div class=\"obj-campaign obj-campaign-1\" data-blog=\"5\">\n            <a class=\"obj-campaign-link\" href=\"http:\/\/gocollette.com\/en-ca\/arta?utm_source=ARTA&utm_medium=Partner&utm_campaign=Member_Benefits\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/artabranches.net\/parta\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/90YX3_ARTA-Digital-Ad_CAN-DTC_Jan20.jpg\" \/><\/a>\n          <\/div>\n    <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As a member of the Parkland Area Retired Teachers&#8217; Association, PARTA will liaison with ARTA on your behalf to provide information on retirement issues and the ARTA Benefits Plan.
