OKARTANS get Pickled

In keeping with OKARTA’s ongoing pursuit of eternal wellness, branch members were invited to participate in an introduction to one of the fastest growing sports in the world….pickleball!

The session was conducted by Hank Bryce, the Vice President of the West Kelowna Pickleball Club. Hank is not only a nationally ranked senior pickleball player, but an excellent coach and instructor. Hank took the OKARTA members through a court safety checklist and then continued with an overview of the basic rules of play. Members then got a chance to practice their newly-learned skills under Hank’s watchful eye. The paddles, balls, facility and instruction were all provided free of charge by the West Kelowna Pickleball Club. A big thanks goes out to Hank and the Club for their generous donation of time and equipment!
